Jennifer D. Walker
MD, FAAP
Jennifer D. Walker, M.D. grew up in Mobile and Fairhope and is a 2001 graduate of Fairhope High School. She received her B.S. from Florida State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She received multiple academic awards including top Chemistry student of the year her freshman year, top senior female in academics, a Howard Hughes Computational Biology Research Fellowship, and induction into Phi Beta Kappa.
Dr. Walker went on to receive her M.D. from The Florida State University College of Medicine in 2009, and completed her Pediatrics residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, where she received the Resident Teaching Award her second year.
After practicing for several years in Pensacola, she and her husband, Camp Walker (also a Fairhope native) decided to move back to their hometown with their two daughters, Elaine and Julia. Dr. Walker loves being able to help children and their families optimize their health and development throughout childhood, and has a particular interest in helping children suffering with ADD/ADHD.
In her free time, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with her family, friends, dogs, reading, and swimming. She has earned a Black Belt and is active in community Theater.
